We are seeking a qualified (or equivalent experience) leading hand for our lands management team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the grounds maintenance service at RAAF Woomera. This is a temporary 14:7 roster, working 11-hour days. This role is offering $40 per hour, plus overtime rates.
Position include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a team of land management personal in day-to-day operations of team
- Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with the Operator's Manual and maintenance schedules
- Ensure safe and on time completion of allocated work. Complete all safety requirements
- Upkeep and maintain gardens and lawns as directed
- Participate in general labouring of the grounds, (and assist other trades and services) building and plumbing trade sites or as directed
Skills and Experience:
- Have experience in parks and gardens maintenance (or similar), including relevant plant and tool operation
- Horticultural degree or ticket
- Microsoft and SAP would be an advantage
- Forklift, bobcat, excavator, chainsaw and/or relevant power tool tickets - desirable
