HSE Advisor

Broadspectrum is an operations, maintenance and construction services organisation, operating globally in the resources, energy, industrial, infrastructure, rail, property and defense sectors. Broadspectrum's Utilita contract are looking for an experienced HSE advisor to help train and coach staff and supervisors across various sites on their Water maintenance contract until the end of FY2020.

Reporting into the HSE Manager you will be responsible for partnering with supervisors/staff within your portfolio providing HSE advice and support for compliance in Health, Safety and Environmental matters. In addition, you will work with the business and provide coaching and mentoring support as and when required. This role is onsite and operational, and the successful individual will have solid knowledge/experience around HSE processes, identifying risks and is confident in coaching and driving a safe culture in a maintenance environment. This role will be full-time hours until the end of June.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • HSE Relationship Management - Promote an organisational culture that empowers all personnel to be involved in HSE matters and to pro-actively take action to reduce risk
  • Project and Contract Support - Provide advice to support Supervisors to ensure the effective implementation of HSE Systems
  • People Coaching- Develop the HSE knowledge of all staff and supervisors as well as conduct some training as required
  • Continuous Improvement - Review HSE Performance and maintain an up to date knowledge of HSE Legislation and Regulations

Key deliverables include:

  • Role modelling of the Broadspectrum Values and HSE behaviours
  • Completion of investigations within required time-frames
  • Develop a positive HSE culture within your sites through close partnered coaching and mentoring of employees and supervisors
  • Continuing improvement in HSE

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have experience in maintenance project HSE-work and exceptional people skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders. You will be a good coach/relationship builder with a passion for HSE and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our people stay safe.
