About the Project:
Ventia is proudly partnering with Transurban Queensland (TQ) with over 80 team members to provide incident response, maintenance, and minor capital works for open roads & tunnelling assets in the Southeast of Queensland (SEQ). Sites include AirportlinkM7, Clem7, Legacy Way, Inner City Bypass, Go Between Bridge and the Gateway and Logan Motorways.
About the Role:
Ventia / Skout's Civil Team are recruiting landscape labourers to ensure the landscaping around the motorways are consistently maintained to the highest standard; with a goal to provide a safe and aesthetically pleasing motoring experience for its patrons. It offers an exciting opportunity to redefine excellence in this new and ongoing maintenance project.
Based in Drewvale, the position will be for the next 3 months with an opportunity to go permanent. The successful candidates will need to reside locally, to work Mon - Fri, 8hr shifts.
Primary Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Vegetation control
- Remove litter and debris from roadways and drainage systems.
- Perform roadside landscaping work, such as clearing weeds and brush, and general vegetative maintenance.
What's required:
- 6 months similar labouring experience, TMR related will be highly regarded
- Familiar with mowing, weed control and slashing operations.
- Operation of whipper snipper
- White Construction Card
- TMI Management Ticket, or be willing to obtain at your own cost
- MR license is not essential, but desirable
