Capital Works Supervisor

YOU:


Supervise and manage the delivery of road construction projects across Western Australia and provide strong leadership to our road project delivery team located in Western Australia.

  • Leverage your road construction supervision experience and optimise on project delivery
  • Deliver a variety of minor capital works and road construction works across a diverse portfolio
  • Work alongside a highly talented and delivery focused team

Our transport business currently operates long-term road maintenance and road construction contracts in the Pilbara region and across rural Western Australia for Main Roads Western Australia. Reporting to the Project Manager you will oversee the delivery of all major road construction projects within agreed requirements of safety, time, quality and costs. Your exceptional leadership will be critical to the ongoing success as you will be working closely with our clients, the customer and employees.


Our works are based in regional WA, our rosters vary dependant on the location of the works and client program requirements, the projects may require Fly in, Fly out or Drive in, Drive out.

All accommodation, meals and travel whilst on project will be provided by the Company.


YOUR ROLE:

  • Make Safety first as the CULTURE in the way to conduct tasks.
  • Monitoring and supervising all site activities, from pre-start to close-out, to ensure the effective delivery of the works
  • Ensuring effective deployment and performance of work crews, resources, plant and equipment as required, to meet contractual requirements, milestones and deliverable targets
  • Managing and monitoring subcontractor performance and quality
  • Providing accurate reports on the performance of the works including daily tracking
  • Implementing corrective measures to address negative variances to project

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Preferably Frontline Leadership and Cert IV Construction Management
  • Supervision and administration experience in road construction work up to value of $15m
  • Experienced in managing the contractual, quality and SHEQ requirements for road construction projects
  • Experience in delivering to Main Roads specifications is preferred
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
  • Demonstrated experience with project controls, including processes, systems and reporting tools
  • Excellent safety leadership awareness and competence
