Primary Responsibilities
The Evolve Reporting Business Analyst plays a critical role in Ventia's Evolve Program, responsible for guiding the transition of reporting and analytics capabilities from the legacy SAP ECC6 and BW platforms to S/4HANA and associated modern platforms. Ventia's reporting landscape includes SAP, BW, Databricks, Power BI, and other tools, with thousands of reports-both sanctioned and unsanctioned-requiring rationalisation, governance, and alignment with future-state architecture.
This role requires deep expertise in enterprise reporting, strong business process knowledge, and proven experience managing complex transitions involving multiple platforms and stakeholder groups. The successful candidate will work across business and project teams to define reporting requirements, establish governance, and ensure a smooth and value-driven transition to S/4HANA.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- 6+ years' experience as a Reporting Business Analyst across SAP data platforms for financial operations, budgeting & planning, or accounting functions.
- Proven success in managing reporting transitions in SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC 6.0 for FICO module, Concur, or Ariba.
- Strong knowledge of reporting and analytics platforms including SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BDC SAP BW, Power BI, and other reporting platforms.
- Experience in data governance, rationalisation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to navigate complex reporting landscapes and drive simplification.
Desirable
- Experience with SAP BTP and embedded analytics.
- Experience with SAP Group Reporting deployments leveraging SAP analytics cloud.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, services, or asset-heavy sectors.
General Responsibilities
- Evaluate & document as-is and to-be data mapping, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Define and document current and future-state reporting requirements.
- Ensure alignment with SAP best practices and fit-to-standard principles.
- Engage closely with business stakeholders and platform owners (SAP, BW, Helix, Power BI). Ensure timely input into design, testing, and readiness artefacts.
- Drive adoption of standardised reporting practices and governance.
- Safeguard critical reporting operations during transition.
- Lead rationalisation of existing reports and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Promote clean core strategy by avoiding unnecessary customisations.
- Collaborate with other workstream leads to manage shared resources and dependencies.
- Support planning and execution of reporting cutover and go-live activities.
- Ensure readiness across business units and alignment with support frameworks.
