About the role
Ventia have a contract supporting the maintenance of the Millmerran Power Station and Skout Solutions are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to assist for 8 weeks (10.5 hrs work per day) on a Shutdown in the Coal Ash Handling plant of the Millmerran Power Station starting 14th September. You will work 5 days per week across atleast 52.5 hours per week. You will work alongside 3 Mechanical Supervisors (2 permanent) and Contract Manager to Supervise 60 workers onsite during the shutdown performing various maintenance tasks during the outage.

Duties include but are not limited to:
You will Supervise and coordinate tradesmen and T​rade Assistants to achieve plant performance during outage across the following maintenance jobs;
- Removal and replacement of spools, rollers, wear plates.
- Parent metal repairs.
- Replacement of guards.
- General fabrication works.
- Complete minor plant isolation and operation.
Applicants must possess:
- Working at heights is essential. Confined spaces is preferred.
- Experience Supervising crews with Heavy plant maintenance is preferred
- Trade Qualification (Mechanical)
- A respirator fit test will be conducted onsite- successful applicants must be clean-shaven for use of the respirator.
- A commitment to OH&S practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Current drivers licence and white card
