Become a part of Ventia's team in Bluescope Steel, Port Kembla for our upcoming Shutdown at No.5 Blast Furnace.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, expand your skill set, and get your foot in the door for potential casual or permanent ongoing opportunities with Ventia.
You will be working alongside fantastic people and contributing to the growth of the company as well as growing your skills and experience!

Shutdown Dates: 1st - 2nd September 2026

What you can expect:

  • Hourly Rate: $44.64 per hour + Super + overtime
  • 12-hour shifts - Days or Nights available
  • Travel Allowance provided to those eligible
  • Collaborative and inclusive on-site culture

What you will need:

  • High Risk Work License - RI, RA preferred (mandatory ticket)
  • Working at Heights & Confined Space tickets (highly desirable)
  • Required PPE compliant to heavy Industrial site standards (mandatory)
  • Personal Industrial Lock for securing equipment and personal safety (mandatory)
  • Have recent work experience as a Rigger, preferably in a Shutdown capacity
  • Have a strong commitment to safe work practices
