Ventia are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the team at BlueScope Steel. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a fast-paced industrial environment with an initial 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
About the Role
You will play a key role supporting project delivery, working closely with site execution teams, supervisors, and client engineers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is a casual contract, minimum 3-months | Monday - Saturday: 6:30am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed workpacks, including: JSEA preparation, Task-specific scopes of work, Inspection & Test Checklists (ITCs), Submission and approval processes with BlueScope
- Support supervisors with resolving TQs/RFIs in collaboration with client engineers
- Assist site teams with interpreting drawings and technical documentation
- Identify and manage scope changes, including preparation and submission of variations
- Coordinate with the P6 Scheduler to: Update schedules, Integrate variations, Manage impacts to timelines due to site interfaces.
About You
- Flexible to work different working environments through BlueScope Steel
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer within heavy industrial, construction, or Shutdown environments
- Strong understanding of workpack development and site execution processes
- Experience working with client approvals and technical documentation
- Ability to manage variations and project changes
- Familiarity with P6 scheduling tools (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
