About the Project:
Ventia is proudly partnering with Transurban Queensland (TQ) with over 80 team members to provide incident response, maintenance, and minor capital works for open roads & tunnelling assets in the Southeast of Queensland (SEQ). Sites include AirportlinkM7, Clem7, Legacy Way, Inner City Bypass, Go Between Bridge and the Gateway and Logan Motorways.
About the Role:
Ventia/Skout's Civil Team are recruiting 2 Civil Labourer's to ensure the landscaping around the motorways are consistently maintained to the highest standard; with a goal to provide a safe and aesthetically pleasing motoring experience for its patrons. It offers an exciting opportunity to redefine excellence in this ongoing maintenance project.
Starting each day out of Bowen Hills, the position will be for the next 6 months with the view to be extended/or permanent beyond. The successful candidates will need to reside locally, to work on a rotating roster comprised of est. 50% days 6am-2pm 4 nights per week and 50% Nights on from 7PM-5:00AM on a rotating roster. Averaging out to 38-40 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responding to and resolving Civil defect repairs eg. Fence and gate repair, tree works, landscape defects.
- Inspections of assets, drainage, guardrails and noise barriers.
- Stormwater drains and pathway minor repairs in team.
- Remove litter and debris from roadways and drainage systems.
- General labouring as required.
What's required:
- It's important that you are good at picking up apps on tablet/phone for closing jobs and entering timesheets.
- 12 months Civil labouring experience.
- A good attitude towards picking up new skills
- An ability to work nights 50% of monthly roster.
- White Construction Card.
