Embedded within Ventia, Skout solutions is a temporary labour provider for the organization as a Joint Venture with Randstad. Ventia have a contract for supporting the maintenance team at Millmerran Powerstation and Skout are currently seeking 2 Industrial Cleaner's/Labourers to join the Facilities Maintenance Team working at Millmerran Power Station in the Coal Handling Plant. The purpose of these roles is to manage the housekeeping in critical operational areas of the plant, whilst ensuring rotating equipment remains in a cleanly state to enhance asset life preservation. You will also support tradesman. The roster is working on a Monday to Thursday or Tuesday To friday basis for 40 hours per week- whichever works for you. This will be 4 months initially with the view to go permanent beyond for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
- Manual Handling activities such as shovelling, sweeping, dusting, hosing.
- Reporting defects and areas requiring urgent attention before acting to clean.
- Identifying improvement opportunities and providing innovative ideas to improve efficiency and housekeeping standards.
- Working safely to uphold Ventia's strong commitment to OHS
- Various other labouring tasks as required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of one year previous cleaning and labouring experience over Full-time hours.
- A commitment to OH&S practices
- Moderate verbal and written communication skills
- Current drivers licence
- Vacc truck and operating tickets can be trained and taught.
